The short version
The calculator itself collects nothing. All calculations run in your browser. The numbers you enter are never sent to a server, stored in a database, or linked to you in any way.
The site as a whole uses two third-party services that do collect anonymized data: Google Analytics for traffic measurement and Google AdSense for advertising. Details below.

What the calculator collects
Nothing. Every number you enter into the wage calculator — your salary, state, hours, spending, age — lives in your browser's temporary memory only. When you close the tab, it is gone. We do not log, store, transmit, or analyze any of your inputs. There is no account system, no email capture, and no form submission that reaches us.
The share image you generate is created in your browser using the HTML Canvas API. It is never uploaded anywhere. When you download or copy it, you are copying a file your browser made locally.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how people find and use this site. Analytics collects anonymized information such as the pages you visit, approximate geographic location (country and region, not street address), device type, browser, and how you arrived at the site. It does not link this information to your real identity.
Analytics uses cookies to recognize returning visitors. If you prefer not to be counted, you can install Google's official Analytics opt-out browser extension or use a browser that blocks tracking scripts.
Google's use of this data is governed by their privacy policy .
Google AdSense
This site is supported by advertising served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to show ads that may be personalized based on your browsing history across the web.

Because the calculator itself does not collect or store any personal information, most of these rights are effectively already honored. For data collected by Google Analytics and AdSense, those rights are exercised through Google directly using the opt-out links provided in this policy.
If you are in Canada (PIPEDA)
Under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act, you have the right to know what personal information is held about you and to correct it. We hold no personal information about you directly. For information held by Google, contact Google.
If you are in California (CCPA / CPRA)
You have the right to know what personal information has been collected, the right to delete it, the right to opt out of its sale or sharing, and the right to non-discrimination. We do not sell your information. For opt-out of personalized advertising, use the Google Ads Settings link above.
If you are in the EU or UK (GDPR / UK GDPR)
You have the right to access, correct, or delete data about you, and to object to processing. Because we do not collect personal data directly, most requests should be directed to Google in its capacity as data processor. The legal basis for processing via Google Analytics and AdSense is legitimate interest or, where required, consent expressed through your continued use of the site and your browser's cookie settings.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect any data from them. If you are under 13, you should not use this site.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site evolves or as laws change. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Material changes will be reflected in the date. If the changes are significant, we will highlight them visibly on the site for a period of time.
